Smoked salmon flatbread

Smoked salmon flatbread is a stunning appetizer that comes together in 5 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz Smoked salmon Approx 225 gms
  • 1 Artisan flatbread Approx 200 gms
  • 8 oz Cream cheese Depending on the size of the flatbread you may need more or less
  • 1/2 small Red onion Sliced very thinly
  • 3-4 slices Lemon wedges
  • 1 tbsp Capers
  • Few sprigs Dill leaves

Instructions

  • Toast the bread slightly so it won't get soggy soon. Allow this to c one to room temp the spread the cream cheese evenly on top of the flat bread. Arrange the smoked salmon slices neatly in a way the cream cheese is also seen. then add few slices of very thinly cut onion, leaves of dill and capers here and there.
  • Lightly squeeze the lemon on top of each slice. Slice in to wedges or triangles and serve immediately

Notes

Use room temperature cream cheese for spreadable consistency.  
Salmon will not stay good if left in room temperature. Use cold salmon and serve immediately after assembling for best results.
    • TO STORE: Place leftovers in an airtight storage container in the refrigerator for up to a day or 2 days. But freshly made tastes best.
    • TO MAKE AHEAD: Keep all the toppings ready and sliced in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Assemble just before serving.
