Warm up 1/3 glass of milk in a microwave. Crush few saffron strands with your fingers and add to it . Stir well until combined cover and allow it to rest for 20 minutes.
Heat the ghee in a heavy bottom pan until fully melted. Reduce heat and pour the warm saffron milk mixture over the ghee . Allow the mix to gradually warm up well . Keep stirring continuously so it doesn't stick to the bottom of the pan.
Now add the almond flour and stir well until it abosorbs the moisture and comes together. Do not make it too dry else it will break when laddu is made.
Switch off heat remove from stove. Add the powdered sugar and cardamom powder. Mix until combined then add the chopped dry fruit mix again until well distributed.
When the mixture is slightly cool start working quickly by shaping the laddu holding a a fist full of ball and shape them into round. Once all the laddus are done cut the silver wars into small piece on the wax paper it comes in and carefully place a small piece on each laddu for decoration.
Store in air tight container. For transporting, serving to a crowd keep each laddu in a cupcake liner so it doesn't break.
